STALL INFORMATION – Stalls must be reserved by March 19 2023 thru the website in order to be included in stall

EXHIBITIONS: Available to Futurity and Maturity contestants only through March 19th. Remaining available Exhibitions
open to all contestants on March 20th.
PAYMENT OPTIONS: Credit Card or Check. Check payment in full will be accepted and MUST BE RECEIVED by March
10th. We reserve the right to remove your entry from Saddlebook if the entry is not paid in full by March 10th. $25
returned check fee.

No refunds on Futurity or Maturity classes. Buyouts are allowed through Friday, April 7th at noon.

Med/Vet out slips for the Open Jackpots need to be received at the office by April 5th 2023 for Entry fee refunds minus
office fees. Stall and RV’s are fully refundable thru April 5th. No Stall/RV or Sweepstakes/D Jackpot refunds after April
5th.

If you want to enter the 10 and under, youth or senior class, you need to get into your Saddledash, go to “People,” select
your profile, and input your birthdate, so that the program knows you meet the age restrictions.
ALL contestants that are entering incentive side pots are RESPONSIBLE for their own copies of papers and entry FORMS
for the corresponding side pots they are entering. NO COPYING WILL BE DONE IN THE OFFICE. Many of the Incentives
have their own online entry process this year…..know before you go! Check the entry process with your incentives.

1. FUTURITY—Open to horses that are foals of 2018 and younger. If the horse is registered, upload a copy of the
registration papers into Saddlebook and attach to your entry. Unregistered horses must show proof of age by obtaining
a veterinarian’s affidavit. To enter the futurity a horse must never have competed in a barrel race prior to November 15,
2022. This excludes time only and exhibition runs. Futurity horses may compete in any type of race after November 15,
2022.
2. MATURITY—Open to horses foaled from 2015 to 2018 (age 5 to 8 years old) and may compete multiple years if age
eligible. No cross entries with futurity. May roll to Open. Upload a copy of the registration papers or veterinarian’s
affidavit verifying age into Saddlebook and attach to your entry.
3. RIDER—Open to all riders. Riders may ride more than one horse.
4. Office charges are included in the entry fee for both the Open Futurity (20%) and Open Maturity (20%). Buy-outs are
allowed for $50 and the fee for late entry is $100 per horse for the Futurity and $50 per horse for the Maturity. Late
fees apply on March 20 2023 at midnight. Deadline for buy-outs and late entries is Noon on April 7th 2023.
5. EXHIBITIONS—Friday morning Exhibitions are for ENTERED futurity & maturity horses only and are limited to 3 per
horse. Each paid futurity entrant will receive one minute of arena time to use at his/her discretion beginning at noon on
Friday. Contestants will run in draw order.
6. FUTURITY PAYOUT—The Open Futurity and the SIP Futurity Side pot will each pay two go rounds and an average on a
2D system, 80% to the 1D and 20% to the 2D. 1 second split on the goes and a 2 second split for the average. Checks will
be issued to the RIDERS. Valley Girls Barrel Racing Association will NOT BE HELD liable NOR be responsible for financial
contracts/arrangements between riders and owners.
7. MATURITY PAYOUT—The Open Maturity and SIP Maturity Side pot will each pay two go rounds and an average on a
2D system, 80% to the 1D and 20% to the 2D. 3/4 second split per go and a 1.5 second split in the average. Checks will
be issued to the RIDERS. Valley Girls Barrel Racing Association will NOT BE HELD liable NOR be responsible for financial
contracts/arrangements between riders and owners
8. FUTURITY/MATURITY entries may roll to the Open 5D race. Entries must be completed thru Saddlebook by 8 am
each day to be eligible to roll.
9. FUTURE FORTUNES OPEN SIDEPOT—Bonus money paid by Future Fortunes Inc. and is for Future Fortunes enrolled
horses only. No additional fees. The Future Fortunes entry box must be checked in Saddlebook to be entered. You must
also enter online with FUTURE FORTUNES as well. For more information concerning Future Fortunes visit:
www.futurefortunesinc.com. Future Fortunes monies are added to the SATURDAY OPEN RACE only and all FF eligible
futurity/maturity horses can roll to the open and enter the FF sidepot.
10. Open 5D average payout is based on Saturday and Sunday Open run times. $10 of each Open entry is added to the
pot and $500 added.
11. GROUND RULES for all competitions—An electric timer will be used. If timer fails contestant will be given the option
of a re-run. Penalties from original run will carry over to re-run. Ground will be raked every five entries. Western wear
required including long-sleeved shirts, boots, and hats for all competition runs. No dress code for Time Onlys.
